1. Wildfire near LA.... Not even close

The line fire is burning in the San Bernardino mountains... It's at least 70+ miles from Los Angeles. Although I appreciate bringing attention to it...if you see LA you look. But it is no threat to Los Angeles at all. It, however is a serious fire burning thru drying vegetation that will eat it's way up the mountain. We did have some thunderstorms move thru bringing lovely rain to where I live in Temecula... But there was a lot of thunder. Usually a warning to mountains to beware of lightning strikes. Haven't seen an update, but am holding out hope the cloud cover helped cool the scene for the firefighters. It was hovering around 103 before that cell came in and brought us more than 1/2 hour of heavy rain. Still, very much south of Arrowbear, south of Lake Arrowhead and beyond. Fingers crossed they got some relief. Bad enough for firefighters in such hideous temps, but probably grateful for a 10+ degree drop. Everything helps...except lightning strikes. Uhg...long road ahead for at least 2 months..
I'm gonna apologize right now if this duplicates. I can't seem to get a handle on how to stop it... That's why I don't post or reply because it's been hard to navigate the procedures of posting.
