He’s slipped through so many cracks in the system for so long that we’re forced to admit, he’s pretty good at what he does. I think he goes into projects and situations thinking, of course, about ‘what’s in it for me?’. At the same time, I think, he’s considering how he’ll shirk responsibility if this or that goes wrong.

So not crafty. Maybe not wily. But thinking about an exit strategy? I’m pretty sure yes.

It’s fun to speculate what it or they might be. As in a Tom Clancy or Lee Childs thriller.
