seek out a Congressional or Party or right-wing think tank staff position, become pundits on cable "news," write a book or books and/or a newspaper column, start a You Tube show and/or podcast, and/or go on speaking tours at select university campuses and before civic groups. Some will also get into consulting. The senior staff will be especially well-rewarded financially. Someone will always pay for them. No one's going to jail for political fraud, because defrauding the body politic in ways other than financial is not a crime, and if it were it wouldn't be enforced. That's why they do it.

BTW, in this era of Federalist Society hegemony, Watergate-era enforcement appears as to have been a glitch, not a feature, in our legal system
