He merely possesses the ability to lie and gaslight. Woman who've been lulled by this 'protective' shtick are (I suspect) women who think The Snake recitations apply to Democrats and/or anyone that opposes Agent Orange, rather than identifying with the woman who is tricked, then fatally poisoned.

Trump has all the markings of a cult leader, a demagogue who poisons the mind and heart in order to exert absolute power over his devotees.

For the mesmerized, it's worked.
