This guy seems to really believe we're going to start a new civilization on Mars...What a joke. We're having enough trouble with the one we have. How does he think these folks are going to react when they get to a planet less hospitable than Antarctica? Does he really believe they would try to have babies? No one with a shred of humanity would put a child through that...

No reproduction? Not a chance at a long-term civilization.

The only real payoff might be robotic mining, but the sheer costs involved would far outstrip the benefits.

Let's face the facts...we can't leave this planet for a better one, so we should take better care of the one we have.
