It makes me think. I often read about people here who post about living in a red area and wonder "how do they do it." Then I remember my parents retired back to PA after they retired. Their last residence was in Cumberland Co which went red in 2016 and 2020 (they had passed by 2020). They were quite at home there in their complex for the aging. I remember my father telling me when I was about five to never discuss politics or religion (fail). And my mother was a bit of a social butterfly. They were both beloved neighbors and my mother did have a core group of progressive friends inside and outside of the complex/community. So I guess it's doable.
