8. Little has changed on Trump's side and it probably really is that close.

We rail against the concepts, but most indications show that they're true.

The people who are supporting him now are the same people who voted for him in 2016 and 2020. None of what he has done or said or promised matters to them -- it never did. His approval ratings have dropped very little in the past few months, despite the onslaughts, both internal and external. His support has always been relatively stable, though also relatively low. It's all inexplicable, but it also appears to be reality.

There's much more evidence that it's a close race than that it's not. It's going to come down to turnout. Our side just needs to show up in bigger numbers than their side, in the states that matter. That's the direction this was headed all along.
