We were told a decade ago that we would reach a tipping point [View all]

...into fascism if Trump prevailed.

It appears a majority of Americans whose votes were recorded chose fascism, instead of the democracy MOST polled said they were most concerned about.

I mean, his campaign was entirely about white grievance and hatred. He held hate rallies and spoke endlessly about taking things away from Americans, and his intentions to get back at the politicians and political opponents who fought to hold him accountable for his criminality.

Many Latino men supposedly voted for the man who promised to harrass and deport people like them. Many who experienced a 'Muslim ban' imposed by Trump in his first term supposedly voted for him to continue.

When he told his crowds from the stages that he preferred 'strongmen,' did they understand this to mean he'd rule like the dictators whose autocratic reigns had driven them out of their countries of origin? Is this some sort of hostage mentality?

Where is America's pride? Today it feels like we're not just being led into fascism by Trump, but by his willing supporters. It has the feel of when Hitler regained and increased power after being released from prison.
