"Hi spooky3,

Many people are experiencing feelings of shock, anger and fear today. There are no easy answers, and we hope all of you take time to be with family, to rest, and to focus on your emotional and physical health. We want to share a message of gratitude for all of you, as well as just a few thoughts about the road ahead.

A large majority of Americans do not want what Trump and extremist Republicans have planned for our nation. Our task must be to resist every horrible policy and to use the public outrage in response to Trump's agenda to build a stronger movement that WILL win in 2026 and 2028. There WILL be an opportunity to regain power for good governance, to restore freedoms and build a better future for all. We're optimistic that we WILL win in the coming elections, but it’s going to take all of us.

While we wait for the official results, we already know that many Senate, US House, state and local elections came down to the efforts of millions of us who did more than simply vote this year. To those who helped write 40 million postcards, who knocked on doors, donated and reached out to friends and family, our efforts will make a meaningful difference in the lives of good people. All the hard work was worth it. Please accept our sincerest gratitude for your activism and being part of such an inspiring community of collective action.

There are many important battles to be fought in the days ahead. That is why it has never been more important to remember that or greatest weapon is our ability to turn our inextinguishable hope into action.
