Even though Threads was larger, I didn't like the fact that they don't encourage news. Plus of course, it's owned by Zuckerberg.
Love the Starter Pack concept. Far easier to find friends here than as a newbie on Twitter was. I haven't tried it but apparently there's a tool that will let you find and follow people you followed on Twitter.
Plus you can subscribe to accounts that all you to either block, mute, or label the kinds of accounts you want to ignore. AI and Crypto, Pedo, MAGA, etc.
I wanted to stay on Twitter to push back on misinformation and for some friends there. But the algorithms weren't serving my content to anyone new (or anyone much at all, little interaction there these days). I hope my friends will come over. In the meantime, I'm leaving my account there open so I can still post, and also to ensure I don't overlook someone I'd miss.
