We have to remember we are always living in the new normal. No matter what it is, it is the world younger people are growing up in - for better or worse. Girls are now surrounded by images and families that say women are equal. They are also surrounded by people who dehumanize people with skin that is not white.
I am afraid many children are being brought up to think the behavior is normal and can be excused. That is a dangerous future.
