it. I will let others who are far more qualified address the majority of your concerns, and will address your last one, about your furbaby. You need to designate a pet guardian, the same as for children, if you know of someone, or some local rescue, who would take him in care. There are even documents that one can download, or fill out online. I have such a guardianship set up for my little rescue with a very good friend. She is even one of my ICE (In Case of Emergency) contacts on my cell phone.
