(10,121 posts)34. It's shaping up that way. Not because of politics, we will only have Democratic guests.
However, we just got word that my older brother (78) is in critical condition. He was hospitalized with ulcerative colitis, and C Diff for a couple of weeks.
Hes been very weak, and has lost 75 pounds. Some of that has been due to having teeth pulled in preparation for implants, but the colitis has caused some of it, and the weakness.
Hes been in assisted nursing for a week, and seemed to be making progress. Hes scheduled for an infusion of Entyvio, next week, but his wife is now concerned he may not be strong enough, if he survives to the scheduled date. Id appreciate any prayers you can send along.

Yep. I think we'll hear a lot of plans going forward with liberal consulting firms such as my SIL's. They have skills

My mom died on Thanksgiving. This year I am scheduled to work in a SNF on that day.

Good luck on your knee surgery. My brother was in and out the same day. I had mine 12 years ago and had to spend a night

My wife and I have often volunteered to help serve dinner at the Salvation Army on Thanksgiving.

We might be going to two Thanksgiving gatherings. Various relatives. I plan to choose my conversations carefully.
