It was when DUers hoped Special Counsel Patrick Fitzgerald would bring indictments against Karl Rove and other high ranking Bush officials for their involvement in leaking the CIA identity of Valerie Plame. It never fully played out, as the only person indicted was VP Cheney’s chief of staff Scooter Libby. So now a small handful of cynical and self-flagellating DUers like to bring it up for no particular reason from time to time.

(And I’ll add, in retrospect our scandals and nemeses of that day actually seem somewhat quaint in comparison to those of the current era.)

Still don’t know WTF “Spanksgiving” is supposed to refer to.
