10. My dad died by his own hand shortly after Nixon's second inauguration.

There were many other factors that led up to him doing this. But when we all came back home for it, mom also told us that he was very concerned about the future of the United States of America and the reelection of Richard Nixon. Maybe he would’ve done it no matter who was inaugurated; but there was definitely a vibration amongst us in those days that is similar to what I’m feeling now.
