In reply to the discussion: Report from the cruise ship: [View all]av8rdave
(10,617 posts)13. We just returned from a Viking cruise
This was our third one. We like these trips mostly because of the people you meet on board. Folks who take these cruises are there to learn, which filters out the idiots and the drink all day by the pool crowd. My wife and I have agreed that we never want to take the typical cruise again.
We took an evening bicycle tour in Paris. I had done it years ago with my crew and loved it, so I wanted to treat my wife and the couple that traveled with us. On one of the breaks I was chatting with the tour guide. He made a comment about encountering more and more Americans who express an interest in moving there. Especially now, I replied. He smiled at me and said Its nice to know Im among friends here. Nothing more needed to be said.

We took a Vining River Cruise a year ago with 193 guests on board. Our experience was unlike yours...

Try Atlas. We took two sea voyages with them and they were wonderful, with classy people.

Yep. To me it would be like being trapped in a HUGE apartment building with not exits

It's exactly like that, except your apartment is on the middle of a shopping mall

Uggh. Sorry to hear. I've only taken one cruise but, in general, they aren't for me.

I would do Viking to Antartica. Somebody else would have to pay for it though.

I used to fly airline charter trips from PHL and LGA to Port Everglades - Ft. Lauderdale (FLL) ..

A slight nudge would send drunk Trumpers overboard. You see how many of them are out there and it's shocking.

THIS. The election was not "stolen." Time to put that shit to bed. We live amongst this lot.

Reading the responses, I believe a disclaimer is in order. In large bold typeface, all caps. With exclamation marks.
