The theory of it is not outlandish as it's a typical raison d'être of fascist governments...'breathing room' as Hitler called his move to re-militarize the Rhineland.
Authoritarian regimes typically try such moves for one big reason...to galvanize their followers by giving them a cause, and to gauge who they are and their loyalty, certainly a quality important to trump.
I doubt our military whose loyalty is to the Constitution, will go along with it.
I've often thought that this 'breathing room' concept and lack of it's possibility is why the fascist movements/politicians in today's Europe have nowhere to expand and test the concept and therefore gain followers and their loyalty.
trump, whose role model is Hitler, would love to try it but the sick fuck who bungled the covid pandemic so spectacularly, is aging, has rapidly declining mental acuity and was never the sharpest tool in the shed, is just not capable of pulling it off as there will be tremendous opposition from women and men with working and capable brains.
