(5,810 posts)These may be wrong, but, they're just possible facts and some opinions about the story I've seen.
1 - I don't think his gun jammed. He was using a B&T Station Six, aka "Welrod" gun that needs to (I believe) have the bolt manually cycled back and forward into place again to load the next round. Someone who knows more about guns can correct me on this.
2 - I would be shocked if this was a South American gang. Killing a high profile like this would be really risky for them. It's the same reason Mexican cartels try to avoid hurting Americans on US soil, and, avoid attracting too much attention.
3 - The "calmness" doesn't necessarily mean "professional." He seemed fumbly with the gun, and, let his face be captured on cameras. He ejected multiple unfired rounds (whether intentional or unintentional, not sure).
My personal opinion is that it's probably someone with a personal vendetta against either the CEO or United Healthcare - probably with mental illness as well.
