Ever notice that the nastiest, most despicable people you've ever known are almost invariably religious. Not everyone who's religious, certainly, but on the Venn diagram, the despicable circle lies almost entirely within the religious one. Kind of like not all R's are fascist, nazi assholes, but all fascist, nazi assholes are invariably R's.
