... "Senator Fetterman, what has Trump got on you?" You might ask the same question of Peter Welch. The Monday before the election, he said – rather too emphatically, I thought – that, sure, Trump is dangerous, but not to democracy! Wanna walk that one back a parsec or two, Pete?
Peter is one of my senators; the other, of course, being Bernie. I've met, and spoken with, both of them. Peter and I are the same age, and I've always liked him, but that remark disturbed me deeply.
It is common knowledge that Trump always, ALWAYS, keeps a dossier on every politician, especially every Democrat, in Congress. He learned that from his mentor, Roy Cohn. He undoubtedly keeps a pack of rats – excuse me, private eyes – on retainer to dig up dirt on every one of 'em.
