He doesn't have the Celebrity darling glitter about him, and he can't lie convincingly.
The public, even MAGA, will find it easy blame him for any problem the GOP causes if they have to listen to his blathering on the evil Commie Democrats are the real villains making their lives miserable.
The GOP is an old fashioned circus. *Rump is the carnival barker, quipping and manipulating the public to see what he wants them to see.
Vance is the pencil neck geek.
Not the good type of cute, nerdy geek, the original 19th century carnival geek - typically a pseudo-idiot that did freaky things like pulling apart live chickens and eating them in stage. Or pretend he was doing that.
While he is smarter and has a more formed agenda than *rump, he just does not have the Teflon idiot charisma to pull off what *rump does.
