9. They don't think women are smart enough to lead.

Millions upon millions of people believe this, and not just the fundies who think it is because of Eve and "the fall of man."

They don't come right out and say women are stupid, but they think women's physical "weakness" and especially their "emotions" render them unfit to lead men.

Whenever these people talk about what women's "roles" should be and what their "place" should be or that women have "intuition" and not possessed with reason or logical thinking, they are sugarcoating their real feelings.

They think women are stupid and inferior beings, not really human at all.

The dude here is talking about preserving his privilege and those of other males. He is already overpaid as a male because of the "family wage" notion that says men are primary earners as "heads of households" while women are secondary earners. Women encroaching on male-dominated occupations means to these guys less prestige, and, over time, always less pay in their occupations. This is why the "family wage" idea came into being over 100 years ago--to preserve male privilege and to force women out of the labor force.
