I eventually traced the fault for those requests back to my brother's former boss who did not adjust his privacy settings made on Facebook. It filtered through my brother's laptop to affect my Facebook experience.

If you haven't looked recently, I suggest checking your privacy settings on Facebook to determine who you are sharing information to.

P.S.: The person on the opposite side of the computer screen most likely isn't the young, attractive woman on your display.
