U.S. private military contractors to secure internal checkpoint in Gaza

Officials of the little-known companies said they do not anticipate difficulties, but acknowledged the risk in an environment where the danger of violence is high.
January 24, 2025

“Two American companies, together with an Egyptian partner group, will operate independently from the Israel Defense Forces, which is redeploying away from population centers under the terms of the temporary Israel-Hamas ceasefire that went into effect last weekend.

The contractors, North Carolina-based UG Solutions and Safe Reach Solutions (SRS) of Wyoming, will be authorized to search vehicles and confiscate any weapons or military materiel; but the vehicles and whoever is inside them — including Hamas personnel — will be allowed to pass.”

U.S. Security Contractors Going to Gaza to Oversee Truce, Officials Say

“The contractors have been enlisted to do weapons checks on vehicles carrying displaced Palestinians back to their homes in the north under the terms of the new cease-fire.

“ One of the firms assigned to the corridor is Safe Reach Solutions, which conducts logistics and planning, according to a company spokesperson, who requested anonymity to discuss sensitive operations.

Safe Reach Solutions will oversee operational management of the crossings, said a second person familiar with its operations, while two other firms — one American, one Egyptian — will handle the actual inspections. It is not yet clear who will fund the contractors’ deployment.

The company’s website, which appears to have been registered in 2024 and created in 2025, contains almost no specific information on the organization’s activities, funding or staff members. The company also appears to have social media accounts on Instagram and Threads, but both are empty of content.“
