If you can't convince people to follow you by the strength of your ideas, why not try to trick them into signing up to some fascist tech-autocracy in the middle of nowhere?

The really sad bit is how well it's working with people who should know better.

This is why we need to teach the humanities in schools, kids. These aren't stupid people but they don't understand basics civics, history, ethics or political science.
