22. His "Middle East envoy" Steve Witkoff is a New York real estate developer

While he has no foreign policy experience or training, his appointment is in line with Trump’s preference for unconventional picks with little expertise. “We have people that know everything about the Middle East, but they can’t speak properly … he is a great negotiator,” the president-elect said of his friend.

After the deal was announced, Trump said Witkoff would continue “to work closely with Israel and our Allies to make sure Gaza NEVER again becomes a terrorist safe haven”.

Trump doesn't trust foreigners, whether it's the Saudi royals, the president of Egypt, or even Netanyahu (who may think "if Trump brings the crazy, I can look like I'm the reasonable one" ). He wants more glitzy crap with his name on it. He has always run away from the military, so he has no clue about fighting, or holding a hostile country. He just thinks he's in charge of the world, so he can march in and grab it by the pussy.
