5. I sure miss Harry...when I was a kid in Independence, MO, when he would go on his daily walks

around the town square in Independence, MO, we kids would all run to the school windows (Alton elementary) and wave to Harry as he walked around the square. And of course his secret service agents would always follow behind him.

His and Bess' house was literally on the square too back then. And a bonus, every time a president would come into town, and stop by and visit Harry, we all would be let out of school to see them visit Harry. I have seen literally seen all of the presidents from Harry on up, including Richard Nixon, Johnson, etc.

RIP Harry and Bess.
