farmers have felt the Democrats have left them behind. Why? The Republicans have never had their backs, the Dems have. I do not understand why, especially after the farm crisis of the 80s caused so many bankruptcies, mostly due to Republican policies. Who helped the farmers then. FarmAid was established with a concert by such well known Conservatives (ha ha), Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp and Neil Young and raised over $7 million for farm families. As this concert series continued, Bob Dylan, Billie Joel, Bonnie Rait, Roy Orbison and B. B. King have performed. It sparked a family farm movement that continues to this day.

The farmers have been taking a beating from factory farming for years. Planting seeds for crops has become complicated and expensive. GMO crop seeds have to be purchased yearly as they can be sued for saving seeds for crops the following year. There are multiple laws and rules farmers have to follow, mostly thanks to Monsanto's meddling years ago.
The so called flyover states should be a prime choice to change some national and local voting practices.

Republicans have abandoned the power of town halls, so it's logical and wise for Democrats to fill those vacuums. Uncle Joe Mar 2025 #7
