General Discussion
In reply to the discussion: This message was self-deleted by its author [View all]You will have noticed that during General Election season last year, I held completely firm to the DU policy that members are not allowed to criticize the Democratic nominee, and I stuck to that policy in the face of half the site wanting Joe Biden to drop out. A number of people ended up taking time away from DU during that period -- or even getting banned because they could not control themselves -- which was unfortunate, but it happened because I stuck to the policy which we have had in place for a couple of decades, and I stand by that policy.
But when we are NOT in General Election season, the standard is different.

Didn't you angrily leave after the big switch last summer only to return 20 minutes later?

The leadership doesn't need your protection and no one here needs to be controlled.

MAGA controls the House, Senate, and POTUS. New leadership is EXACTLY what we needed, I'm sorry you can't see it

This sounds a lot like, "America, love it or leave it" and "My country, right or wrong."
