53. There Is A Book

There is a book called "War Against the Weak" by Edwin Black. It is kind of a dry read but it is an important book. It is about how American eugenics was developed and was actually a precursor to Nazi eugenics. I had hoped to go back to grad school to study the history of science, in part because of an interest in the use and abuse of science and medicine. Given that the Trump Regime is trying to kill American universities it doesn't seem likely to happen at this point. This terrible fascist evil has been reborn here in America. Unfortunately it is no longer just a matter of academic history. Now we are living it. We must do our utmost to fight it. Stay strong. We have got to fight to protect these disabled kids.
