(1,750 posts)I think Whitmer cannot win Presidency at this time. She is severely hampered by her reddish leaning purple state. She just cannot come out and speak strong. Example, Slotkin. Her state of the union response talked more about Bush and Reagan than about Dems.
Waltz has been good. He was severely clipped in that disastrous debate with JD Vance. His advisors told him he has to be too nice
Next time, there should not be debates. Dems never learn. Debates merely energize the GOP. Trump-Clinton, Pence-Kaine, Trump-Biden (Biden won the election but it was a lot closer than it should have been), Trump-Biden-Harris, Waltz-JD. It does not matter who wins. GOP gets energized by lies. Debates are a remnant of old times for Dems. For the GOP, it is just a war cry. Just look at Schumer who is still thinking of a 2009 style comeback. Schumer, it is not 2009. You have to fight a fascist, not play politics
