(18,320 posts)The articles I had read was that there was no way of testing the viability of it on enough different healthy patients to prove out the theory. And this is why the 1 brain cell red hat wearing people in the science were opposed. Been around for ever but no double blind etc studies to find out..
How do you test a custom vaccine designed for a single person?
Oh the tumor went away or was it because it was remission from chemo. Because it would be murder to stop the chemo.
Or. The patient died, was it the new vaccine of just the cancer killed the patient.
With covid they were able to test the rapid creation of a new vaccine.
Same with HIV was a blessing for modern medicine. Before HIV needles and syringes were just autoclaved and reused. People were given shots with the same syringe. Moving blood between patients was pretty common.
So much has been learned in the last few decades. Just in my life.
I had to have my appendix out with I was 13 in 1961. The doctor was pretty tipsy. He had an ashtray beside him during surgery. How did I know, I woke up from the ether and asked for some pain medicine and a nurse slapped a mask or something over my face and I passed out again.
A lot of changes to come. Cancer might not be wiped out, but it maybe individually cured once a biopsy is taken and crispr d and made into a mRNA drug and injected.
