(9,212 posts)Although today I was mad at my inr testing company because they have messed things up again. Last year they messed up my billing saying I was not covered etc. It took several phone calls and my insurance company worked it out finally. Now they were going to cancel my account because my doc had not sent a new rx for the testing etc. and had not notified me, I found out because I picked up a robo call about missing my test, which I had already reported.
Eventually spoke to a supervisor who was RUDE and uncaring, who found out that they have received FOUR rx but they were not written the way they liked it. So then I had to call my doc 3x to get them to call them. I wish I got paid for the huge amount of time I have to spend on the phone will all of these people. Apparently an rx now has to be initialed and dated if there are changes. AFAIK there were no changes. It also took them 3 months to properly process my new insurance info/card which I gave them well in advance.
I am going to call my ins and ask if there is another provider I can use instead. Last year I found out I could buy enough test strips for one year and the machine on ebay for less than I pay them.
I am going to ask my doctor if he will let me do this instead, but he may need to be paid too for monitoring it.
Daylight savings is causing me the usual crap, my whole sleep pattern and body is a complete mess now. Because of being on the phone for over an hour I missed a follow up appointment
for contacts which was already postponed for over 6 months for various reasons. It's a good thing I answered the phone though, or my account would have been cancelled! Usually I don't before I have to go out or if I don't know who it is. I never received a letter telling me this which the rude supervisor said was sent.
