(5,691 posts)I opted for the Vivity lenses, which give me good distance and mid-field vision, but I need reading glasses for closeup stuff. After a few months I was able to clearly read the computer screen at about 18 inches without the glasses. It took a bit for the brain to reconfigure, especially since I've worn glasses for anything beyond a few feet since grade school. I'm still amazed at the richness of colors after several years of looking through my original-equipment yellowed lenses. White is now REALLY white, and the sky is truly blue and not that muddy color I was used to for so long.
The drops are a pain (and the ones I had did sting a bit when first put in), but follow the schedule and it will be worth it in the end.
Hang in there, and enjoy your new eyes!
