Netanyahu now says that no rebuilding of any kind is to be allowed south of the Litani River and he now insists being able to control literally half of Lebanon. He'll come for the other half later. Likewise in Syria they are keeping the new people in control from being able to exert that control over the whole of the country. The incoming people are well thought of by the Saudis and others so the musical chairs game goes on and there is no end in sight to the grab for territory and resources by the US, Israel and Russia.
