The US has already become Authoritarian [View all]

Trump putting law firms and lawyers "under review" by the AG for taking "frivolous" lawsuits (which are not frivolous at all) against him and his administration puts all the firms and the lawyers of those firms at risk.

Whether or not a lawsuit is "frivolous" is not the prevue of the President, the AG or even the Dept. of Justice. It is strictly up to judges and the sanctions are up to him or her.

And certainly, cases that have ended up being adjudicated in favor of the firms and lawyers in question would render them far from "frivolous". Other cases, even if lost or overturned on appeal are not "frivolous" by virtue of the fact that multiple sitting judges allowed them to move to adjudication.

These actions are those of a totalitarian state. It amounts to removing the "people's advocates" instead of the judges.

This is scary and far more important to Americans' lives than the price of eggs.
