Calling Republican Senators.... [View all]
I recently compiled a list of Republican Senators (around 10) to call and leave messages on their voice mails or speak with their staff (if they answer) regarding Social Security. I was off yesterday so I made the calls.
I'll copy and paste the email I sent to my friend and family group:
Hi All,😀
I'd like to encourage you to call Republican Senators who aren't completely Trump sycophants and enablers (that I know of). I'll have a list with phone numbers at the bottom of this email.
The issue I'd like to address at this time is Social Security. Recently, Musk called it a Ponzi Scheme. I've been working since I was 16 y.o. Over these many years, money has been taken out of my paychecks (as is the case with most of you). This is not an entitlement! When I hear people say that it's incredibly upsetting. This is my money that I've put into the system.
I already know exactly what I'm going to say (on either their voice mails or to their staff). I think it's important to mention that while you're not technically their constituent, ultimately their support (or lack of support) could have a direct impact.
It would be wonderful if you are able to set aside some time to make these calls! The first numbers are their Washington offices and the second numbers are their local offices.
Thank you!
