I think the reason why they didn't show up was because they did not want to vote for Trump, nor the democratic candidate because she was a woman AND a woman of color. I think so many do not want to admit that racism and sexism played a BIG part in the election. This is why I practically stopped watching the news, particularly, cable news after the election. I got so sick of everyone saying it was because of the economy, because in Trump's previous presidency, the economy was so good (which by the way was Obama's economy which Trump seems to have received the credit). If they were not saying that, it was the Democrats should have done this or should have done that or they did not do this enough or that enough. Many of us think it would not have mattered what the Dems would have done because many had already made up their minds once the candidate was chosen.
