Question About Our Social Security Web Sites [View all]

I knew I hadn't logged in for years so I updated my password.

I went to log in today and I am told I will have to sign in with Log in. gov, if I remember correctly. So I log in the new way. It sends a code to my phone, I enter it, it sends a notice to my email, I have to go to my email and click on it, it sends my phone another code and then I get in to my SS web site.

Not sure if I can use the same email to change the way my wife logs in. I am done with this tonight, will work on it tomorrow.

They are phasing out the old way I always logged in via user name and password. Is this going to confuse older people and computer Troglodytes like me?
