The Ricketts family owns the Chicago Cubs. A friend put it well: We know almost all sports teams owners are billionaires who want to pay as few taxes as possible, but the Ricketts are hardcore Trumpers. The Dad is a rightwing asshole, brother Todd Ricketts was the Finance Chair of the Trump/Pence 2020 campaign, and Sen. Pete Ricketts is loyal vote for anything Trump wants.

But you know what is worse? Sister Laura Ricketts is gay and a sponsor of the Cubs is Chick Fil A, whose owners donate to Christian right groups in Africa that want to kill gay people.

I will always root for my Cubs, but I just can't give that family a dime of my money.
