3. Hoover was actually a good guy

His presidency was bad to be sure, but he's arguably one of the greatest humanitarians ever. Saved millions from starvation in Europe during and after WWI and again after WWII.

I always say, if he'd never become president there'd probably be all sorts of philanthropy societies named after him.
