38. The 47 regime: Bullying and intimidation for billionaires.

Your point is well taken, but we need to radically shift the way we respond -- and encourage electeds who opposed the regime to do the same.

It's a fascist regime power grab in every sector of civil society. They know they won't get away with it all, but as we treat each new horror as a separate "story" that we dig into and respond to on details, we are on their turf. If we are to lead the way out of this we must be far more effective in our response. Some electeds are begining to get it, but none are seriously changing the game. To that end they (and we) must

(1) STOP chasing every new horror as a separate event.

(2) Be willing to use language that hits nerves.

(3) Say fewer things as we connect every horror to a clear, and limited, set of activating truths about what they are doing -- and what we stand for.

Opposition is NOT defense of the status quo against the attack on American values by a bullying regime dedicated to the interests of itself and the billionaires who put them in power. And we must call on our electeds to stop acting as defenders of the status quo that Americans across the political spectrum reject as not serving their interests.

I just came across Anat Shenker-Osorio. She was on the That Trippi Show April 18th, (episode: "If you want to touch a nerve, you have to touch a nerve " )

Please listen, wherever you get your podcasts. This is so important.

Here is Anat's Freedom Over Fascism Toolkit. Her guidance sets out a simple way to stop running after the latest horror and talk about the horrors within the same narrative frame -- over and over and over.

I think she is spot on on about everything. And on parts I question, I am likely to defer to her take because it is grounded in research and experience. YMMV, but if you agree please pass along in whatever social media networks you frequent. And most of all, if the people who represent you oppose the regime of bullies for billionaires, call on them to simplify their language, say fewer things, and repeat them 'til they are sick of repeating them -- and then repeat them some more. Pass the toolkit onto them.
