And whether or not you question AI damaging their memory, it does, simply because they spent so little time mentally engaged in subjects they're supposed to be studying. They end up ignorant of what they were supposed to have learned, and crippled in terms of problem-solving and creativity.

In effect they've deprived themselves of an education that might've cost them a lot.

And this cheating is depriving society of the educated adults it needs - especially for a democracy.
