I don't think any Democrat would have won. I'm not sure of election interference, but I do know that Trump was smart to keep bringing up the (lie) that he lost he 2020 election. Why? Because it stoked the Trump supporters' need for revenge over anything else.

Their need for revenge blinded them to everything else. "Our team won back the championship... yay!!" (because they treated the election as if it had all the long-term consequences of a football game, versus the real long-term consequences of a Trump win).

Add to that the lack of voter enthusiasm from some young voters who haven't gone through anything like the Civil Rights movement or the Vietnam War. Or the protest votes in critical swing states from some of the pro-Palestinian groups (I'm not blaming all pro-Palestinians, but there were some who were quite open about not voting for Kamala as a protest).
