They seem to make what passes for their decisions on media sound bites, and the idea that they should throw whoever is in the majority out.
This isn't rational well thought out decision making.
The best way to figure out which party has your best interests is to look at their written platform. It is always in the voter pamphlets that are mailed to your address, and are also available for free in public libraries.
As far as the so-called Independents go, they honestly seem to be composed of people who are in favor of various kinds of bigotry, but they don't have the guts to come out and say so. If they were more honest about their views, maybe effective challenges could be written and spoken about. I'm of the firm opinion that most bigotry is based in ignorance and lack of experience with people who are different.
