Media has been fractured. The owners of fractured media are not what has been traditionally called media. Rogans podcast is excellent example of that. As the population changes due to age attrition ignoring the media landscape which has been changed like a meteor impacting the planet is dangerous. While the concept of influencers demonstrates a herd mentality an underlying anxiety drives it. It emphasizes tribalism based upon a culture that has become significantly more psychologically damaged.
