Yes, I know. Trump et al has been very effective drumming up hysteria about "these horrifically dangerous 'criminal' immigrants," and that might work in many, many areas of the country. This, however, is LA. They know gang members when they see them and recognize the issues of lawless behavior. But, they likewise know their coworkers, friends, and neighbors and are not afraid of Hispanic people--particularly given 47% of Los Angeles IS Hispanic. I would argue the same for much of the West, including my own Denver--who are not afraid of our Latino population. And, the more Trump's Fascist brownshirts try to pull this throughout this highly Hispanic region, the more we will see these protests enlarge and become more forceful and determined.
