ICE detainees tear down a wall in UPRISING at N.J. detention facility, some may have escaped [View all]

This was where Ras Baraka was arrested and the members of Congress tried to visit.

Anyway, the political prisoners were being starved, so they rebelled, and apparently tear gas was used on them.

About 50 inmates at Delaney Hall, the ICE detention facility in Newark, banded together and pushed down the wall of a dormitory room when meals were hours late, a lawyer told NJ Advance Media.

Reports of an uprising inside Delaney Hall immigration detention center in Newark NJ. I was here with people trying to visit family when we all started choking due to tear gas used inside.

After being starved for twenty hours and then fed two pieces of bread, detainees got fed up. According to this article they pushed an interior wall down. If this facility was just reopened how come it's so flimsy that they could do that? Safety inspections are needed now.
