(4,984 posts)22. Renton, WA (suburb of Seattle) had at least 1,000 people today. We had about 400 on April 19 (it was raining).
It was great -- there was someone handing out water, free buttons, music, chanting, party hats, red clown noses, two bubble machines and clever, grammatically correct signs everywhere with loads of support from people driving by.

The big protest (70,000) in Seattle was at Cal Anderson Park, but we did pretty well at the UofW

In Albany NY I was surprised that our demonstration along a major road was answered by motorists
