(2,272 posts)Federal and State. Sure, as long as the Felon is in office, nothing will happen to them. But if they know they will have to answer for their actions, individually, they may think twice.
How is it out military members are instructed to ignore illegal orders but the same doesn't go for anybody working for the Federal Gov't.
We have to think outside of the box. When we get back in power, no more worrying about decorum or inside gaming of DOJ policies. Like "we can't charge him so close to an election". "Our policy is the Director of the FBI serves a 10 year term".
"We're not done with our investigation into the background of the SC nominee but by all means hold the confirmation vote anyway." "We've heard some allegations of rape but for some reason, we didn't get testimony from the alleged victim."

Go after Senator Padilla's attackers, go after Mr. Lander's attackers. Use the courts, civil and criminal. False arrest, slander, assault. It is injurious and intentional. They will claim immunity but take it to court, again and again.
